This is not a holiday. It’s a living, breathing conservation mission—and you are part of it.
WildeHorse invites you into the heart of a vast 50,000-acre African wilderness, where every ride, every encounter, and every day actively contributes to restoring a landscape on the edge of transformation. This Wilde Tracks Collaboration is set in Zimbabwe on family-owned land being rewilded into a thriving Big 5 reserve, this is conservation in motion - raw, real, and unfolding around you.

There is no fixed itinerary. No scripted experience. Just wilderness, freedom, and purpose. Stay for a week or stay for months—time here stretches differently when you’re fully immersed in nature. Each day brings new horizons: different riding routes, shifting wildlife movements, and fresh opportunities to engage with a landscape coming back to life.
At the centre of it all is a remarkable herd of over 40 horses - your companions through terrain where wildlife still rules. Ride quietly through ancient valleys and open plains where giraffe, buffalo, elephant, hippo, and vast herds of plains game move freely. As the sun sets, hippos rise from the water and the bush comes alive under skies so vast they feel endless.
This is horseback safari at its most powerful - silent, intimate, and deeply connected. And it doesn’t stop at riding.
Swim with horses in natural water. Watch storms roll in from the saddle. Spend nights under unpolluted skies during guided stargazing sessions that reconnect you to scale and stillness.
If you want to go deeper, step into the daily life of the herd - assisting with groundwork, lunging, and training, or simply learning the language of horses alongside experienced guides.
For non-riders, WildeHorse is equally immersive. Track wildlife on foot, join camera trap surveys, assist with species monitoring, and experience predator call-ups and game drives that contribute directly to conservation data collection. Every activity feeds into real-world protection of this ecosystem.
Beyond wildlife, you’ll see how conservation and livelihoods intertwine. Learn sustainable farming practices, help move cattle across open land, fish or kayak on the dam, and experience the rhythm of life that sustains both people and place.
The wilderness extends outward into culture and community. Visit nearby schools and clinics, meet local families, and see how conservation revenue directly supports education, healthcare, and opportunity. Your presence has impact far beyond the reserve boundary.
Accommodation blends comfort with authenticity - traditional thatched rooms designed to keep you close to the wild, where night sounds replace screens and every morning begins with the bush.
And behind it all is purpose: active anti-poaching support, habitat restoration, and real-time reporting of ecological change as you move through the reserve. You are not observing conservation - you are participating in it.

As the sun sets over the African bush, your first night marks the beginning of life fully immersed in the wild.
No schedules. No limits. Just a living landscape and your place within it.
Each day is entirely yours to design - guided by curiosity, weather, wildlife movement, and your own energy.
Ride out across vast, untamed terrain on horseback, exploring ever-changing routes through valleys, river systems, and open plains where wildlife moves freely.
Join the herd for training, groundwork, and horse care, or experience the unforgettable thrill of swimming with horses in natural water.
Follow tracks on foot with expert guides, reading the bush as it reveals itself. Join wildlife monitoring and camera trap surveys that feed directly into conservation research. Witness predator activity during call-ups and experience raw, unfiltered wildlife moments in real time.
Step into the living conservation landscape - assist with habitat restoration, anti-poaching awareness, species counts, and land management activities that directly shape the future of the reserve. Move cattle on horseback, explore sustainable farming systems, and see how people and wildlife coexist on working land.
Beyond the field, the wilderness expands further. Watch storms roll in from the saddle. Spend nights under some of the clearest skies in the world during stargazing sessions. Hike to ancient rock art sites, kayak or fish on the dam, and discover viewpoints where the entire landscape stretches endlessly below you.
Connect with the surrounding communities through school and clinic visits, where conservation funding directly supports education, healthcare, and opportunity. Every interaction adds meaning to the land you’re riding through.
No two days are ever the same. The reserve sets the stage - but you choose the story.
As your unforgettable Zimbabwe adventure comes to an end, it’s time to say goodbye. After a final farewell with your team, you’ll transfer back to Bulawayo Airport for your departure. Safe travels, and carry the memories of this incredible journey with you!
