Arrival in South Africa

Arrive in South Africa ready to start your adventure of a lifetime! As soon as you arrive, you can switch your brain off as we take care of you from the Arrivals Hall until you're back at the airport for departure. The pick-up will be waiting to take you to the reserve.

Once you reach the camp, you will be shown your accommodation in the heart of the reserve, surrounded by Africa's majestic wildlife. Enjoy dinner around the campfire and listening to the surrounding jackals and lions' roars as you sleep.

Message us to confirm airport and pick-up time. For the safety of the animals we only release the location to participants who have booked and paid.  The ariport will be Durban.

Hands-on Conservation Intervention with the Vet

Assist the Vet with critical conservation activities prioritised by most threatened or at-risk animals. These interventions range from rhino dehorning and satellite tagging, to predator collaring, game capture and elephant translocation

Your place helps fund the full operation, including covering the costs for the helicopter used to dart the animals, all medicine and equipment involved, satellite collars, vet fees and transportation.

This experience is usually inaccessible to the public. You will be taking part in this intervention and getting hands-on with the procedures and health checks, working alongside the Conservation Pilot, Reserve Management, the Anti-Poaching Unit and a qualified Wildlife Vet.

Day 3-6

Day 3-6 image

Safari, Community and Anti-Poaching

Depending on the reserve, the remaining days will be dedicated to unforgettable, conservation-focused activities such as:

  • Community Outreach – Spend a day engaging with the heart of the community: visit local schools to support educational initiatives and interact with students ; discover the rich traditions and history at a dedicated Zulu Heritage Center; lend a hand at a local crèche; and meet the inspiring “Grannies” who turn discarded plastic bags into colorful hats and bathmats, showcasing the power of creativity and resilience.

  • Hippo Snare Boat Patrol – Cruise along the river while assisting conservation teams in checking for snares and protecting hippos and other aquatic wildlife.

  • Anti-Poaching Patrol with K9 Unit – Accompany the highly trained anti-poaching rangers and their dogs on patrols, learning how they detect snares and prevent illegal hunting.

  • Snake Pharm Experience – Step into a pioneering research center that develops powdered anti-venom from snake plasma. Meet some of the remarkable species involved in this life-saving work.

  • Big Five Bush Walk – Guided by an armed ranger, walk safely among Africa’s iconic Big Five, discovering the wilderness in a way vehicles cannot offer.
