Embark on an unforgettable Wilde Tracks Collaboration journey into the world of wildlife and elephant care in Thailand. Join dedicated conservation teams working at a Wildlife Rescue Centre and Elephant Refuge, and gain meaningful insight into the rescue, rehabilitation, and long-term welfare of animals impacted by human activity.
This Wildlife Rescue Centre immersive program offers you the opportunity to contribute directly to hands-on animal care at the Wildlife Rescue Centre, including preparing and distributing food, creating behavioural enrichments, cleaning enclosures and pools, and supporting essential centre and forest maintenance. You’ll work around a diverse range of rescued species including bears, monkeys, tigers, small cats, and other native wildlife.
The Elephant Refuge immersive program gives a strictly ethical, observation-based approach to elephant care focused entirely on welfare and rehabilitation. Take part in food preparation, environmental enrichment, enclosure cleaning, and refuge maintenance while supporting a no riding, no swimming policy that prioritizes the wellbeing of each elephant.
Across both missions, develop a deeper understanding of conservation in practice through daily care routines, ethical wildlife management, and hands-on support in sanctuary environments designed to protect and rehabilitate vulnerable species.
Whether you choose the Wildlife Rescue Centre, the Elephant Refuge, or a combination of both, this year-round program is open to participants with a reasonable level of fitness who are passionate about wildlife conservation and meaningful field experience.
